Sustainable training in Uganda, 1998

    Description
    This paper analyses the experience of FIT Uganda over the past 8 months in establishing and working with 8 individual trainers and training businesses, and the subsequent survey into the existing private training sector which is operating without donor or external support in Uganda. The paper proposes a new strategy in developing and delivering training to micro and small enterprises; a strategy which has the potential for a high level of sustainability and outreach and will support the private sector itself to provide some of the essential support services for business development
